Entry Level Airport Planner
Shenoy Analytics a transportation planning and management consulting firm with a niche expertise in airport planning. We specialize in nontraditional projects, especially in the airport realm that most other transportation planning companies do not possess the depth to execute.
We are seeking an analytical minded planner to join our team. An ideal candidate will possess technical skills acquired through a combination of education and experience in the field of transportation planning, traffic engineering or industrial engineering. This is an entry level position supporting technical analysis related to ground transportation planning.
Responsibilities
- Technical analyses related to landside facilities such as access roadways, parking facilities, curbsides, rental car centers, cargo facilities and ground transportation centers at commercial service airports.
- Financial Analysis related to airport charges, fees, non-aeronautical revenue generation, optimization of parking fees and such.
- Simulation of landside facilities.
- Development of planning level design of roadways, parking layout and other facilities.
- Preparation of draft reports including CAD exhibits.
- Assist in development of proposals in response to RFP’s, RFQ’s and other marketing materials.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning/traffic engineering/industrial engineering or any other analytically inclined field
- 0-3 years of experience in transportation/traffic projects
- Proficiency with using Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Desire to grow in the aviation industry
- Good interpersonal skills
Preferred skills
- Working knowledge of VISSIM or any other similar simulation programs
- Advanced mathematical and statistical skills
- Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills
